Proving that married life need not be a uphill struggle Paul Lilley dusted off his track bike and sped up the one mile Ketton Cement Works climb on Sunday in 3.31 to take the Fenland Clarion Hill Climb title from the bearded Mark Emerson who sped up the ascent in 3.49. Third place went to the gregarious Mike Quanborough who was a further 5 seconds adrift. There was no change to the overall standings in the Club Events Championship, where Lynden Leadbeater had already taken the title from Ray Bailey 64 points to 50, with Stuart Lindsay in third with 36.
