BRAVE BUCK BEATEN BY BOTTLEY BRILLIANCE

Despite a gallant effort, novice bike rider Michelle Buck just failed to beat the experienced and classy Mark Botteley in the season long Bluebell Series. Just one point seperated the two riders at the end of the season and although Botteley didn't ride the final counting event, Buck was unable to gain enough points to dislodge Botteley from top spot in the hotly contested competition. Last season's Bluebell winner finished 3rd overall. The final event saw Lynden Leadbeater win in an impressive 22.35, while Colin White, fresh from his holiday in the Alps, hit good form to lift 1st Handicap with a 21.22 adjusted time.
