We have three rides coming up over the next few weeks, with details below. Please note parents are welcome to join, although this is optional and all riders should be suitably equipped with the minimum of a spare inner tube & lights and bright clothing for the evening rides.
Friday 22nd March: Meet outside the Athletic Track on Bishops Road ready to start riding at 6:30 for approx. 6 miles taking around an hour towards Orton Mere and Ferry Meadows. Good paths throughout
Friday 29th March: Meet outside the Athletic Track on Bishops Road ready to start riding at 6:30 for approx. 13 miles taking approx. 90 minutes towards Crown Lakes, Hampton and along the riverbank. Mixed path and track with nothing technical but more suited to off road tyres.
SaturdayApril 13th 2pm extended youth ride approximately 23 miles at 10-13 mph average from Snowden Field car park, Crowland, Peterborough PE6 0AY to Fenland Aerdrome, Holbeach St Johns, Spalding, PE12 8RQ
The roads are quiet public roads with some cars and farm traffic.
The prevailing wind is a SW so normally a tail wind out and hopefully a light head wind back.
Opportunity for stop at 5 miles at the queens back bridge 13 miles Fenland Airfield (don’t forget your pennies for some cake) 18 miles queens bank bridge.
Would be great to get a few riders and parents join us. Also would be good to get some numbers confirmed so I can ring ahead to reserve a table and make sure there is enough cake.
For this ride please confirm numbers via Karls Facebook post.
Hope to see lots of you at whichever suit your riding and friends are welcome to come along.
