It's that time of year where Fenland Clarion and Peterborough CC riders comepete in a two stage hill climb championship.
It takes place this coming Sunday 6th October with signing on and the first stage starting on the road out of Ketton to Collyweston.
Climb one starts across the stone bridge before climbing up the hillside before a left turn and increase in steepness through the village.
Riders then ride (untimed) back down and through Ketton before taking in stage 2 which goes up the side of the cement works towards the main Stamford to Melton Mowbray road.
More details are available here.
We hope to see as many FCCC riders taking part as possible.
There are reduced prices available on the clubs old Impsport kit.
Have a look at the price list here for offers.
I will be taking the clubs adult kit stock out on a tour of the area in an attempt to get some of the products in front of you to buy.
We still have a mix of old Impsport and new Ellmore clothing with jersey's and accessories available.
Click here to see the current stock list as of 29th September.
If you want to buy an item, please get in touch and let me know which product and the size. I will give you an order number to pay the clubs account and we can arrange collection of the kit.
This can be at the cycle jumble, hill climb (tbc) and if there is demand, the start of the club run in Helspton. Alternatively, you can pick it up from me in Market Deeping.
There are a couple of items on the list with names against them. if those people can let me know if they still want them, that would be great. Thanks,

N&DCA 10 2020 - Our promotion..
The Northants and District Cycling Association, whose events many of our members like to ride, need to know if we are able to organise a round of next year's series.
I organised it this year, Emma Emerton previously and before that Simon Pitchford.
Our race was on the N1/10 course (Sawtry) and 6th July, would anyone be prepared to organise next year's event on our behalf?
Please let me know.
Looking for some fab raffle pries for this year's Club Dinner & Prize presentation (see previous posts).
It doesn't have to be cycling specific so if you're looking for a new audience to promote your business/service whether sports massage, holistic therapies, wok cooking lessons, lifestyle makeover, beer & cake tasting sessions all will be welcome. Donations will be acknowledged here on our Facebook page, on the website & in the Club's weekly newsletter.
So, if you or your friends, colleagues or business associates have any amazing giveaways or services that they'd like to promote & donate to the raffle get in touch.

Following the popularity of our recent camping trips, and in particular the venue at Nene Park this year, we have re-booked provisionally for next year.
It is hoped we might also fit in a shorter one night trip to Fineshade in their camping Danish shelters, or something similar, but still to be confirmed.
Our annual youth cycle camping trip continues in 2020, and with the popularity of the Nene Park "group" campsite (not the caravan club site) we will be returning again in 2020. This time we will be booking for Friday & Saturday nights, with the addition of the Sunday being extended to include a bbq for the whole club following the clubruns. All cyclists, in particular the youngsters will be encouraged to ride there, although parents will be allowed to help with any excess luggage. Prices are yet to be confirmed, but will be kept to a minimum. So get the date in your diary!
Please free free to discuss via the Facebook event, or if you have any questions, please free to ask. We will confirm places nearer the date.
This Friday 27th September there will be another family ride, with parents most welcome to join a social ride of around one hour, along the river on the cyclepaths, so suitable for all types of bike.
Meet at the Embankment Athletic track for a 6:30 start and probably cover around 6 miles. Youths must wear helmets & bright/reflective clothing and please don't forget your lights.
When you've finished there's a Wattbike session going on at the track, so feel free to drop in for a cuppa, or just come and cheer the riders on.
