Youth section update
A bit of an update on what we have coming up...
Friday session 6:30 - 7:30 on the track for the start of six basic skills sessions, this one will cover weightshifting, balance and co-ordination. We will also have the rollers out for those who have mastered them, or would like to try, and there'll be a few new parts to this.
Road ride Saturday - See the Facebook page for details of Karl Grundys one hour ride from Northborough.
Muddy Monsters Final Round Saturday 29th February, hosted by us from 10:00 - 12:00 plus a senior club event from 12:00 with parents welcome to try an introductory cyclocross race.
Muddy Monsters Inter Region Event Saturday 14th March from 10:00 - 12:00, helpers and riders will be required.
For any of you intending to race on a fairly regular basis this year I thought it would be good to have a quick get together to share plans, and work towards setting some goals. Perhaps at the end of the next Friday session21st February 19:30?

Friday 6th December
This Friday we are back at The Embankment Athletics Track from 6:30 - 7:30, and this week we will be on the track, so road tyres/bikes for those with a choice.
Also to remind you that we have our Christmas party night next Friday 13th December when parents are encouraged to join in the seasonal fun both on and off the bikes.
The following Friday 20th, we have not booked the track, however if there is sufficient interest there will be a family ride. See the Facebook page for discussion on that, and I will confirm nearer the time whether it is going ahead or not. There will also be a discussion about some rides over the school holiday period.
Hopefully see you on Friday

FCCC brings back an old tradition - 27th November 1945
I am now old enough to be classed as a master in cycling terms (I think that still pre-dates veteran status!), and I remember starting out in the sport back in the early 90's where cycling clubs would meet up every week for a social chat and some time with friends.
Lots is made nowadays about how we don't make time to just have a drink and catch up so along with a desire to keep clubmates in contact across the off season, we are bringing back our club night starting next week.
The start time is 1945 in the Bluebell Pub in Maxey.
There is no formal agenda or topics for discussion and its just a chance to get together and have a chat. I will be looking to drop in with the clubs kits stock should anyone want to try and buy.
We hope to see as many members there that can make it and look forward to making the event grow.
The idea is to hold a social the last Wednesday of each month but we will bring that forward in December as the last one is Christmas Day! (The 18th is provisionally in the diary). We will be meeting up with those on the three halves ride and in the coming moves rotate the venue so it will hopefully come near you.

2020 Easter meet launched
The 125th National Clarion Easter meet will be held between 10th and 13th April 2020 in the historic venue of Warwick. Keep your diaries free... more details to follow.
Club Equipment
Recently there has been a number of occasions where bikes have been taken out of the container, only to be found to be in an unsuitable condition to ride. Please let us know if there's a problem with a bike, before it goes back in the container. It will be your youngsters that are disappointed if there isn't a suitable bike when they want one.
So please help us to look after them, firstly by treating them with care, and if there is a problem, make sure you let us know.
Many thanks
